More poetry.

By Meredith, (I love this one!):

Oh, Alabama!
Where is my clearance letter?
I will punch you soon.

From my dear friend Kate; Haiku as encouragment:

Mother you will be
Seed of hope grown in your heart
Daughter awaits you! by Kate

By my dear friend Liz, who (finally!) just brought home little Mei from China:

Two and a Half Years
I waited so long for her.
Now my heart is full.

And by the haiku master herself, Sarah McB:

Future Tense Mothering Haikus, All-Purpose (adoptive or otherwise):

Effective Letter to Potential Children Haiku:

Boys with smelly feet
and girls with paint-covered hands,
We have lots of towels!

Why It's Probably a Good Idea to Keep an Adoption Blog Haiku:

They cross arms and pout;
Prevent Sunday coffee breaks;
Write down this wishing.

Good Mother's Bare Minimum Oath Haiku:

I will say the no's;
cover outlets; hide matches;
make pancakes monthly

On Second Thought, Good Mother's Bare Minimum Oath Haiku 2:

I will remember
how I saw you the first day
ev'ry day I live.

Oh I just love these. I will contribute one if I ever get up the nerve and any ounce of creativity!

I am so excited to realize how far you are in the waiting process....yeah!!!

I love these too!! But I fear I have been credited/linked with a Haiku I did not write. Want to make sure the other Meredith gets proper credit for a great Haiku (and also a little luck so that her clearance letter comes soon!!).

I feel bad about not having written a haiku yet. I've really wanted to. I love Meredith's, and that last one is precious.
